COOKING
TIP#1: OVEN SETTING
The most efficient oven setting is the fan and it’ll heat up pretty quickly. I’ve realised that I only need to turn my oven on about 10 minutes before I put my bakes in and turn it off 5-10 minutes before it’s done, as it stays baking hot.
TIP#2: FREEZE BREAD
A freshly baked bread is best kept at room temperature as it goes stale quicker in a fridge. If you don’t finish it in a day or two, just slice it up and freeze. Toasted, it will taste fresh and delicious!
TIP#3: LEFTOVERS
Love your leftovers! Make stews and quiches with vegetable and cheese before they go off.
TIP#4: COOKING OIL
If using cooking oil for deep frying, save in a glass jar to reuse.
TIP#5: MAKE A PLAN
Meal planning is one of the best ways to reduce food waste and start saving money and time.
